Director Luke Heise

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, we partnered with Kids Helpline, based in Brisbane, to create a three-part animated series offering comfort and connection to children navigating isolation. The first video in the series, “Staying Connected Indoors,” was a 35-second journey into creative ways kids could maintain meaningful relationships while staying safe at home.

Produced in Brisbane, the series utilised a vibrant 2D animation style, combining a silhouette-inspired art style, pastel colour palette, and playful animations to engage children aged 5 to 12. This first explainer video blended imaginative visuals with an emotionally reassuring message, reminding kids that distance didn’t have to mean disconnection, while also highlighting Kids Helpline’s 24/7 availability for support.

This project brought a sense of hope and togetherness during a time when it was needed most.
